I am a big fan of Gregg Braden on GAIA. He teaches profound subject matters and this is one I believe is very important to everyone.
There is a simple technique that will unlock longevity and vitality in your life. I will walk you through it a little later in this post.
The feelings of compassion/love/gratitude/care are instrumental in how you view your world and your overall well being. Most people are unaware of the actual physical effects that emotions play in our lives. The emotions you choose to feel affect your DNA/chromosomes! Your chromosomes in regards to the amount of times they will divide and support or decline your existence. At the end of the chromosomes there are Telomeres. The telomeres protect the chromosomes and allow for additional chromosome divisions. How you react to stress is a VERY important factor. If you stay in a constant state of chronic stress, you are setting yourself up for disease and a shortened life span.
The amount of years we are all born will the potential to live is 120. In 2009 the Nobel Prize went to scientist that discovered an enzyme that hovered near the end of the Telomeres, This enzyme repaired the Telomeres which allowed the chromosomes to continue to divide so that we can reach our potential in age.
There are three things that you are in control of that profoundly affects your DNA and your life expectancy. Diet, exercise and heart/brain harmony.
Eating clean and choosing the form of exercise that fits you best are vital. The third item, heart/brain harmony can be achieved through reaching the Gamma state in your brain. Once you reach the Gamma state it allows a process that is a natural antidepressant, you will pick up scents easier, and the sensation of sounds will FEEL differently.
You will shift your brain state to .1 hertz when you reach the Gamma state. That is the same hertz that whales and submarines use. It is a very low frequency.
The technique
- Shift your awareness from your mind to your heart. Touch your heart center physically using your hands.
- Slow your breath. Utilize 5 seconds in and 5 seconds out.
- FEEL the feeling of appreciation, gratitude, care or compassion for anything or anyone.
When you do this technique it triggers your neurons. It takes 72 hours to build new networks. Using this technique for 3 minutes everyday sets into motion a cascade of events, biochemical events that will last 6 hours and trigger your immune responses and awakens your greatest potential. This is KEY in longevity and vitality.
That is correct, something so simple is very profound.
